Praying for strength after loss of a mother

    I have been dragging my feet to do this but I know deep down my heart that I could use some prayers. I lost my mom on December 17th last year, my life has changed so much since then. I feel so empty and often sad. I know everyone keeps telling me the pain will get better with time, I am not sure I believe that because everyday that I don’t talk to her brings more pain. Please lift me up in prayer so I maybe at peace and celebrate her life instead of this immense grief and sadness that I feel.

    Dear Dmwate,

    I will be praying for you. My mother went home June 15, 2002 and I still think of her everyday.

    After all your mother has bee with you all of your life and it is natural for you to miss her. I felt empty and numb when she left this world. Time does heal, but it takes time for that to happen.
    Stay close to God. He is close to the broken hearted. Let Him comfort you!!! Stay in the Word and draw strength from it.

    May the Lord Jesus comfort you May the Lord fill that emptiness that you may have with his joy.

    Pray and wait for his spirit to come. Invite the spirit of God into your prayers and wait. I pray as Shelia says you are overwhelmed and ‘drunk’ with it (Ephesians 5;8). In Jesus name. Amen.
